Smurfy had a brief show career, but managed to achieve one Specialty Best of Breed at the New York Specialty.

His nature was better suited to being a house dog than to live in the kennel, so we placed him on a co-ownership with friends who had lost their aged Chow. We know his last years were happy ones.
